The atmosphere ,sounds, scents and tastes of the divine nibbles at the Funky Tunas Grand Opening was absolutely fantastic last night. Friends gathered along with Madame Mayor Hazel McCallion who as always was in kindred spirit, sharing with friends and guests words of wisdom just prior to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

We wish the best success to the Funky Tuna owners who shared a remarkable initiative with us all.

SafeCity continues their great work as their Board of Directors, Executive Director and staff engage the community. Great Job!

On September 30, 2009 a circle of friends along with TD Bank representatives, orchestrated a foundation. A foundation as they called it, “perfect for all of the good work Anastasia does”.

On October 1, 2009- Anastasia turned 40 and steps out into the community with family & friends hosting the 1st Anastasia Tolias Foundation community initiative at the The Compass Happiness spread throughout the small but quaint space. Love was manifested in the air and the sounds of laughter were everywhere.

A Greek Breakfast was sponsored, hosted, prepared and served by the Tolias Family, & many friends; Extra virgin Olive Oil, grade A oregano from the mountains of Greece accompanied with Sea salt. Oh but the scents, the tastes and the endless smiles of appreciation- Greece Rediscovered was therewith us.

On behalf of the Anastasia Tolias Foundation many thanks to Mr Gerald Russell, a dedicated Community Leading Volunteer, who lead the Anastasia Tolias Foundation’s 1st Community Initiative held at the Compass to success.

Now entering its 4th year, MY Games seeks to create an inspirational and motivational setting that encourages young people to take part and succeed in sport.

1st Annual Candle Stick Circle Family Party

At one of our many meetings, a few home owners suggested that they would like to see our development become a `community` and not just a bunch of houses. With that said, a social committee was created.

The Committee Members are made up of a bunch of `candlestick circle party girls`. Which consists of:

Noella

Maxine

Flo

Claudia

At the first meeting, we had agreed to host `The First Annual Candlestick Circle Family Barbecue`. So, being the party planners, the committee created a flyer and decided to discuss the barbecue idea with each household in our `community`. Thank goodness, the idea was accepted wholeheartedly.

We`d like to thank the following people:

Garey Kidd – thank you for supplying the barbecue and standing over the fire. Well done!

Georgio Tolias – the best darn DJ in Mississauga. We are still `dancing`.

Anastasia Tolias (Board Member) for a monetary contribution ($100.00) and donation of toys for our children.

Thanks to Anastasia`s client Carol who kindly donated sandwiches, coffees and dessert `in memory` of her beloved mother.

Therez – thank you for using every ounce of your breath for blowing-up the balloons.

Nadia, Venetia and Cameron Kidd – for assisting in areas where needed.

Sherma, Noella, Maxine, Flo and Claudia – each of you are `da bomb`. Meaning, party planners personified.

One year later now in 2009 another success story, Izabella and her son Conrad have purchased a semi detached home.

Anastasia she understands that each scenario is unique and Izabella’s and Conrad’s success story is dear to her heart as she has shared a growth and development together with them.

Now a part of the TOLIAS teamwork effort they share their story to engage more families who are looking to enhance their real estate and financial portfolios.
